I guess it’s the time for you to try Disk Defragmenter. Many computer user are aware about this Defragmenter but not all knows how important it is to be use at least once a month. Defragmentation is the process that reduces the amount of fragmentation in file systems. It does this by physically organizing the contents of the disk to store the pieces of each file close together and contiguously. It also attempts to create larger regions of free space using compaction to impede the return of fragmentation. Some defragmenters also try to keep smaller files within a single directory together, as they are often accessed in sequence. This process will make your programs locate the files that they need faster, thus making your computer run a bit faster (at least much better than before it was defragmented). I myself disregard this process when I was still in college. But when I was able to use it in one of the computers that I troubleshoot, it provided me a nice output. Have it a try for yourself.
